The Chinese Chess Association, in partnership with the International Chess Federation (FIDE), is organizing the fourth tournament of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix series 2015/2016 from 1-15th July in Chengdu, China.

The second European Chess Union Board meeting in 2016, organized in Prague, Czech Republic, took place on 24th and 25th June after the kind invitation of the Czech Chess Federation.

The meeting was held under the excellent conditions in the hotel Olympic during the 2016 Mitropa Cup. The President of the Czech Chess Federation Viktor Novotny opened the meeting and welcomed the ECU Board in Prague.

The 44th Annual World Open will be held from June 30-July 4, 2016 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, 1201 Market St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

The event has 9 sections: Open, Under 2200, Under 2000, Under 1800, Under 1600, Under 1400, Under 1200, Under 900 and Unrated.

Dubai Chess and Culture Club will host a Fide Trainer’s Seminar on July 11-13 to be conducted by renowned Greek chess coach and author Grandmaster (GM) Efstratios Grivas.

The CSIT World Workers Chess Championship will be held in Puebla, Mexico, from November 12/13 (arrival days) through November 19/20 (departure days) 2016.

The Ildar Raud Memorial 2016 is taking place 27 June – July 3, 2016. It is the 50th edition of the tournament and it will be a Swiss tournament with 70 players. The first prize is 1500 EUR.

Live games will be daily on Chessdom.com and ChessArena.com with computer analysis by the TCEC participants Komodo, Stockfish, and Houdini.

The fifth edition of the MTS Logistics GM Tournament is taking place in Izmir, Turkey between June 28-July 2 at Izmir Vesta Fuar Hotel. There are two groups and both groups play with double round Scheveningen system. The tournament provides an opportunity for the young and ambitious Turkish players to get GM and IM norms.

Stage 2 of TCEC, the Top Chess Engine Championship, is approaching its middle point. After 11 rounds, Komodo continues to lead with 8,0/11.

The World Senior Chess Championship 2016 is taking place in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Radebeul.

There are 500+ players in 108 teams registered for the tournament: 57 teams in section 50+ (including four women’s teams) and 51 teams in section 65+.
