The 2016 edition of Bangkok Chess Open takes place April 10-17 in the 5-star Dusit Thani Hotel. The Open section has 248 registered players from 42 countries. Among them are 17 Grandmasters and 24 International Masters. Top seeded are GM Francisco Vallejo Pons, GM Nigel Short, GM Loek Van Wely, and GM Surya Shekhar Ganguly. The Dubai Chess Open 2016 will take place 11-20 April. Games will be daily live on Chessdom.com with triple engine analysis by the TCEC engines Komodo, Stockfish, and Houdini. This year’s tournament has more than 205 registered players, which is a new tournament record. Participants come from 41 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

The 16th Bangkok Chess Club Open – Thailand Open Chess Championships 2016 is taking place from 10-17th April in Dusit Thani, Bangkok, Thailand.

There are two sections: Open category for all players (9-round Swiss), and Challenger category for players rated below 2100 or unrated (7-round Swiss).

The Open section has 248 registered players from 42 countries. Among them are 17 Grandmasters and 24 International Masters.

The 46th International Chess Tournament “Bosna 2016″ is scheduled to take place from 28th May to 3rd June at the Hotel Saraj in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Russian Superfinal of the 69th Championship for men and 66th Championship for women will take place in October 2016 in Novosibirsk.

The Russian Chess Federation and Timchenko Foundation have maintained an open call of interest from 26th February to 25th March to accept applications from regional chess federations and local museums.

Both sections were played as 10-player round robin tournaments.

The Grand Chess Tour announced today that the world’s top-ten ranked players will compete in the 2016 Tour. Nine of the top-ten will compete in all four tournaments: Rapid and Blitz in Paris and Brussels-Leuven, the Sinquefield Cup and the London Chess Classic.
