The 24th Annual Chicago Open was held May 21-25, 2015, at the Westin Chicago North Shore Hotel, 601 North Milwaukee Ave, Wheeling, Illinois.

The event had 8 sections: Open, Under 2300, Under 2100, Under 1900, Under 1700, Under 1500, Under 1300 and Under 1000.

The Open section with 113 participants was played over 9 rounds of Swiss system (May 21-25) with the time control 40/2, SD/30 d10.

– It was important for me to qualify for the Candidates tournament. There were good and bad moments during the Grand Prix legs, but the main goal was achieved.
