The 13th World University Chess Championship is taking place on 18-24th August 2014 in Katowice, a city in Southern Poland.

The event is split into two sections – Men and Women. 46 players from 16 different countries, including 14 GMs, take part in the Men’s Championship, while female appearance consists of 26 players from 18 federations.

The 2014 Turkish Super League Team Chess Championship is taking place on 18-29th August 2014 in Kocaeli, Turkey.

The event consists of 13 team playing in a 13-round format.
