Open Liburnija 2014 LIVE!

The Open Liburnija 2014, dedicated to the memory of professor Egidije Paris, is held from 20th to 27th May, 2014 at the Chess Club Rijeka, Croatia.

The event is a 9 round Swiss FIDE with a time control 2 hours per player and a total prize fund in the amount of 6800 HRK.

Top seed is IM Robert Loncar.

The Korinthia Chess Academy “Argonaftis” is organizing the 4th International Tournament Isthmia 2014 on 18-25th August at the Alkyon Hotel in Vrachati, Korinthia, Greece.

The GM Tournament Orlova 2014 is taking place from 26th May to 1st June, 2014 at the Cultural House in the town of Orlova, situated in the Czech Republic.

The event is a 10 player round robin with a time control 120 minutes per player plus 30 seconds increment starting from move 1.

The 11th International Chess Festival Orlova 2014 is taking place from 26th May to 1st June, 2014 at the Cultural House in the town of Orlova, situated in the Czech Republic.

The event is a 7 round Swiss with a time control 120 minutes per player plus 30 seconds increment starting from move 1 and total prize fund in the amount of 32 500 CZK.

Top seed is GM Mikhail Ivanov (RUS).

Moscow Workshop for the training of International Arbiters

From 23 to 25 May 2014 a Workshop for the training of the International Arbiters was organized in Moscow, Russia, by the Russian Chess Federation, in cooperation with the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Workshop was the office of the Russian Chess Federation in Moscow, while the participants were accommodated in Radisson Slavanskaya Hotel.
