The best teams, who qualified for this event are: the last-year champion Clichy, Strasbourg, Metz Fischer, Bischwiller, Mulhouse Philidor, Chalons en Champagne, Tours de Haute Picardie, Evry Grand Roque, Rueil Malmaison, Montpellier and Bois Colombes.

The Chess Club Marseille refused to play, thus only 11 teams will compete for the title “Champion of France”.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Melbourne, Australia

On 17 and 18 May 2014 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Melbourne, Australia, by the Chess Victoria in cooperation with the Australia Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue was the seminar hall of the University of Third Age (U3A) Knox, in Melbourne.

The lecturer was IA N.Y. Wong (SIN), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Peter Tsai (AUS).

The lectures were in English language.
