The 63rd Bulgarian Individual Chess Championship for women is taking place from 10th to 18th May, 2014 in Kozloduy, Bulgaria.

10 players will compete for the first prize of 1800 BGN.

The Bulgarian Individual Chess Championships for men and women will be held simultaneously from 10th to 18th May, 2014 in the city of Kozloduy, best known for the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant.

1st Iasi Open is scheduled to place from 10th to 18th May, 2014 in Iasi, Romania. The hefty prize fund of 25000€ is going to gather nearly 250 participants, including more than 20 GMs. Top seed is GM Igor Lysyj from Russia.

The Asian Youth Chess Championships 2014 under 6, 8, 10 and 12 are scheduled to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 20th to 29th June, 2014.

The 5th International Chess Tournament of Forni di Sopra will take place from June 14th to 21st, 2014, in Forni di Sopra, part of the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park and one of the jewels of the Italian Alps.
