The World Junior Chess Championship 2014 (for boys & girls under 20) will be held in Pune, India, from 5th October (arrival) to 20th October (departure) 2014.

The Championship will be organized and conducted by Maharashtra Chess Association under the auspices of AICF and FIDE.

Last year champions were Yu Yangyi and Alexandra Goryachkina.

Following the final qualifier event, the Chess Kenya (CK) has announced the players which will represent the country at the 41st Chess Olympiad in Tromso, Norway.
