It is a 7-round Swiss tournament with Dominik Horvath, Mattias Filek, Emanuel Hoegl, Anastasiya Kolba, Erik Andresen, Noah Faderbauer, Patrick Nussbaumer, etc.

The 4th edition of the Tata Steel Chess India Rapid & Blitz, India’s biggest chess tournament, kicked off on Monday with the Rapid tournament in Kolkata. The event featured a very strong line-up with an interesting mixture of world-class grandmasters and Indian young chess stars.

It is a 12-player round-robin tournament with Mary Joy Tan, April Joy Claros, Bernadette Galas, Kate Nicole Ordizo, Bea Mendoza, Jan Jodilyn Fronda, Shania Mae Mendoza, Marie Antoinette San Diego, Vic Glysen Derotas, Janelle Mae Frayna, Franchesca Largo, Ayana Nicole Usman and Bernadette Galas.

The Women’s Candidates Pool B tournament is underway in Khiva, Uzbekistan. The event features four players Aleksandra Goryachkina, Alexandra Kosteniuk, Kateryna Lagno and Tan Zhongyi fighting in a knock-out system for a place in the Women’s Candidates finals against Lei Tingjie.
