Animoca Brands and Lympo partner with Play Magnus Group on chess-inspired blockchain game Anichess. Animoca Brands and its subsidiary Lympo, a leading global sports NFT ecosystem, announced today that they are developing Anichess in partnership with Play Magnus Group (PMG), a global leader in the chess industry that offers entertainment and e-learning services via its chess market brands.

The English Chess Federation presented the 2022 chess awards. The Committee have agreed the following eleven awards in seven categories which the ECF Board have ratified. All winners will be presented with an engraved glass trophy recognising their achievement and will, where appropriate, be entitled to use the winners logo.

The International chess festival Atyrau Open 2022 is taking place 16-23 August in Kazakhstan. Organized by the Dinara Saduakassova Academy of chess, the Atyrau Chess Open 2022 has collected 32 titled players. Top seeded is Pavel Ponkratov and his main competitors are Grandmasters Farrukh Amonatov, Timur Gareyev, Vitaly Sivuk, Sergei Tiviakov, Arseniy Nesterov, Alexander Kharitonov, Aleksej Aleksandrov, and Denis Makhnev.
