European Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships 2022 took place from 20-22 July in Hotel Lazart Thessaloniki, Greece. 250 players from 28 European federations participated in the events which were played within 6 age categories: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18, open and girls separately.

Blindfold Opening Visualization: 100 Chess Puzzles by Martin B. Justensen is a book will train and test your visualization skills through 100 well-selected opening positions. You will get a series of moves from common openings. The depth of the lines is from 4 to 10 moves .You will not always have to find a killer tactic, but in some puzzles, you will just have to avoid a trap and find a good move. You can use the look inside function and try the first puzzles. The book is divided into 3 chapters and each chapter gets a little harder.

As Immortal Game is played with the same rules as classic chess, then what’s the difference between us and other platforms, except token rewards? Let us introduce: Immortals. Immortals are NFTs representing chess pieces (Pawn, Knight, King…). Each Immortal has a specific side quest players will try to fulfil during games. Fulfilled side quests will unlock rewards for the winner at the end of the game.

Three participants of the 2022 Biel Chess Master Tournament will held the event in particularly good memory – they achieved norms. Congratulations to IM Pranav Anand and CM Prraneeth Vuppala won GM norm, while WFM Gülenay Aydin achieved a WIM norm.

Le Quang Liem is the winner in the Grandmaster Triathlon at the Biel Chess Festival. The Vietnamese player, who was convincing throughout the tournament, proved to be the strongest player in both classical and rapid chess and did not really drop back in blitz chess either, so he truly deserves the overall victory in the Triathlon! The podium is completed by Russia’s Andrey Esipenko and India’s Gukesh Dommaraju. Replay games
