Hikaru Nakamura recaps his game against World No 3 Alireza Firouzja who yesterday celebrated his 19th birthday. Nakamura was surprised with Firouzja’s 1.d4 as he expected 1.e4 instead. Firouzja sacked a piece and transposed to a slightly better endgame with winning chances, but Hikaru managed to escape with a draw.
