More than 500 kids crowd the central street of Berga to play Chess #TweetOftheDay

More than 500 kids from 16 FEDAC schools in Catalonia crowded the central street of Catalonian town Berga during the 1st “Eskcmat” event. The festival promoted Chess in School programs that are successfully implemented in FEDAC schools where chess is taught as a complementary activity during school hours. The Tunisian Chess Championship 2022 took place from 7-15 May, 2022 in the city of Hammamet. Twelve players competed in the 11 rounds round robin event for the title of Tunisian National Champion.

South Africa crowns National Chess Champions

The National Open, Women’s and Senior Chess Championships of South Africa took place from 7-14 May in Cape Town. The Open and Seniors events were played in 9 round robin rounds, while the Women’s event had 8 players who battled it out through 7 round robin rounds.
