Chairman of the organizing committee of the FIFA World Cup 2018 Arkady Dvorkovich told RIA Novosti that he will run for the post of FIDE President.

Montenegro Chess Federation in association with City of Niksic and under the auspices of the European Chess Union are organizing European Amateur Chess Championship 2018. It will be held from 13-21 June in Niksic, Montenegro.
