The 2018 Chinese Women’s Championship was a 12-player round-robin which took place from 18-29 April in Xinghua.

10th China Xinghua National Chess Championship took place from 18-29 April at the Tianbao Garden Hotel in Xinghua, Jiangsu.

Тhe final round of the 2018 U.S. Chess Championships has been as explosive and exciting as one could have imagined. There were four players battling for glory going into today’s games: Sam Shankland, Fabiano Caruana, Annie Wang, and Nazi Paikidze.

The championship rounds are always the most promising. The tension, the suspense revolving around the result, all of these and more are what makes us love chess. With only one round to go, the stakes are at their peak, and the players will battle tooth and nail for the top spot in both divisions.

Stockholm Chess Challenge will be held from 30 April to 5 May.
The tournament is open for players born 1993 or later and with a minimum rating of 2200 ELO. The venue is Stockholm’s Chess Salons in Sodermalm in the centre of Stockholm. The Address is Ringvägen 9.

Another exciting round in Saint Louis, as the favorites to win the event have once again showed their good form and continued their respective streaks. The most important change after today is at the top of the open championship table, where Shankland is now the sole-leader.

The U14 Polish Youth Championship is a 9-round Swiss tournament taking place from 29 April to 5 May 2018 in Sypniewo, Poland.
It is divided in four sections. Under 14 Boys and Girls and under 12 Boys and Girls.

In what was surely one of the most important, and explosive rounds of the tournament, the players kept the spectators on the edge of their seats until the very last game of the round was finished (over 6 hours of play, a record for this year’s championships).

The 2018 Budapest Spring Open took place from 18-26 April in Budapest, Hungary.
165 players took part in the A tournament.
The winner is GM Kaido Kulaots with 7,5 points out of 9.
Five players have finished with 7 points. Second place was for GM Laszlo Gonda and third is GM Vitaliy Bernadskiy.
