The Politiken Cup 2015 is taking place on July 25 – August 2, in Helsingor, a city in Denmark, known internationally for its castle Kronborg, where William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet is set.

The event is a 10-round FIDE Swiss tournament, open to all players.

433 players from 25 different countries, including 27 GMs, 18 IMs and 28 FMs will be vying for the first prize of DKK 20,000 (nearly 2.700 €).

The 2015 Guam International Open Chess Tournament took place on July 18-22, 2015, at the Guam Reef Hotel, Tumon, Guam.

The event was a 9-round Swiss FIDE tournament with tempo of play 90′/40 + 30′ + 30″ and prize fund in total of US$ 8,000.

23 players from 6 different countries take part in the event, including 2 GMs and 1 IM. Top seed is Filipino GM Darwin Laylo (2480).

The 2015 “Yin Zhou” Cup China – Russia was held from July 14 through July 21, in the Chinese city of Ningbo.

The friendly match between the men and women teams of Russia and China finished convincingly 29:21, in favor of the hosts.

Russia’s men lost 14:11, while the women team of China defeated the opponents 15:10.

The venue of the Seminar will be the SPIROS Hotel in Maputo.
