OPorto Open 2015 is set to take place from 13-19th July at the Hotel Beta in Porto, Portugal. The tournament is included in the National Circuit of Classic Chess of the Portuguese Chess Federation.

The 9-round Swiss event is organized by the Grupo de Xadrez do Porto, the oldest Portuguese chess club, as a celebration of its 75th anniversary.

148 players from 21 countries are registered to take participation. Among them are 6 Grandmasters and 7 International Masters. List below.

The 4th Amsterdam Science Park International Chess tournament is taking place from July 11-19, 2015.

The event is a 9-round Swiss tournament with tempo of play 90′ X 40 moves + 30′ + 30″.

Top seed is Dutch player GM Harmen Jonkman (2425).

Vienna Chess Federation & Austrian Chess Federation under the auspices of the European Chess Union organize the European Senior Team Chess Championship in Hotel AIRO Wien, Vienna, Austria, from 12-20 July, 2015.

The Championship will be played in 9 rounds according to the Swiss System, with time control of 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game + 30 seconds increment per move starting from move one.

The 4th Anogia Open “Ideon Andro” is taking place from July 9-16, 2015 at the conference Hall of Piraeus Bank, in Anogia, Crete.

The event is organized by Anogia Chess Club and Heraklio Chess Club, in co-operation with the Municipality of Anogia, Region of Crete, O.A.A. Heraklion, Hersonissos Chess Academy, Sport Club N. Alikarnassou “Nei Irodotou” and  Chess Club “Leon” Candia.

The tournament is a 9-round Swiss open with tempo of play 90′ X 40 + 30′ + 30″.

Dubai Chess Club is looking for qualified & accredited Trainers for different levels (Males/Females). Applicant must be not less than 2300 rating, Fluent in English, Bachelor Education in Sports or related fields, passionate about chess, energetic, updated with technology.

The 2015 Canadian Closed Chess Championship, which is also FIDE Zonal 2.2 tournament, is set to take place from 10-16th July at the Peter Clark Hall, Guelph University Centre, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Webster Vienna Hosts Top Global Talent in 2nd Annual FIDE WOM Chess for Girls Competition

The Chess Academy of Armenia under the auspices of Armenian Chess Federation is organizing the annual “Lake Sevan 2015” International Chess Tournament from July 12-20, in Martuni, Armenia.

The official FIDE Online Arena is constantly introducing new ways to improve in chess and enjoy the revolutionary playing platform.

In the FIDE Arena there is an entertaining event each day, through which it is possible to challenge masters from all over the world.

Women’s World Champion Mariya Muzychuk and her sister GM Anna Muzychuk are visiting Montenegro Chess Federation from 6th to 16th July.

On 7th July Mariya Muzychuk opened the Chess House in Bijelo Polje, and then held a simultaneous exhibition for the local chess players.
