Fabiano Caruana, who is back again on the U.S. rating list, emerged a convincing winner of the 43rd Dortmund Sparkassen Meeting elite chess tournament, which took place from June 27 to July 5, at the NRW Orchestra Centre in Dortmund, Germany.

Th main Open A had 85 participants from 19 countries, including 12 Grandmasters and 19 International Masters. Grandmaster Salvador Del Rio De Angelis took a clear first place with 7,5/9 points to claim the top prize of 1200 EUR.
