From 24 to 27 June 2015 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Silver Lake, Veliko Gradište, Serbia, by the Central Serbia Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer of the seminar was IA Viron Tsorbatzoglou (GRE), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturers were IA Branislav Suhartovic (SRB) and IA Zoran Bojovic (SRB).

Two chess legends will meet in a rapid chess match in Riga, Latvia from July 7 to July 9. 12th World Chess Champion Anatoly Karpov (Russia) will meet the renowned chess theoretician Evgeny Sveshnikov (Latvia) in a 6 game match.

The games start at 2pm UTC (16:00 CET, 10:00 EST) on July 7 and 8, and at 12am on July 9.

GM Salem A.R. Saleh of the UAE and GM Dimitri Komarov of Ukraine score rare sweep to dominate the Dubai Cup Blitz Chess Team Tournament. GM tandem win all their games to rule the tournament with a perfect score ahead of 51 other teams.

The 38th International Chess Tournament “Ikaros” 2015 will be held from Saturday 11th till Sunday 19th of July at Aghios Kirykos, the capital town of Ikaria, Greece.

The Men and Women Greek Open Championships 2015 are integrated with the Chess Festival.

Grandmasters Sofio Gvetadze (Georgia), Irene Kharisma Sukandar (Indonesia) and Iva Videnova (Bulgaria) are signed up to take part in the 2nd qualifying tournament of the FIDE World Online Women Blitz Championship 2015 that is taking place 9th July on the official FIDE Online Arena.

The 2015 Belgium Individual Chess Championship is taking place from July 4-12, at the Sports Hall Schelle, located in the Belgian province of Antwerp.

The event is a 9-round Swiss tournament with prize fund in total of € 10,000.

The 49th Ilmar Raud Memorial was organized by Viljandi CC Fellin from June 29 to July 5, 2015, at the Viljandi Sports Center in Viljandi, a town in southern Estonia.
