Panhellenic School Chess Championship

The Panhellenic School Chess Championship in Thessaloniki will take place May 3-4. The venue of the event is the International Trade Fair of Thessaloniki where two Chess Olympiads have taken place. 1500 students will participate in the final round of the Greek School Chess Championships 2025. Together with their parents, teachers, organising staff and visitors, more than 4000 people are expected at the venue.

The Mitropacup 2025 will take place from May 13 to 22 in Trencin, Slovakia in Hotel Magnus. The Mitropa Cup is a team chess competition involving countries from Central Europe, organized by the Mitropa Chess Association. It includes an open section and a women’s section, with each team typically consisting of four players and one reserve. The following chess federations are invited to participate in the Mitropa Cup 2025: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland.
