India and China are playing a 4-board Scheveningen Match on 1-10th March in Hyderabad.

In round 3 India won 2,5-1,5 to take the 6,5-5,5 lead.

The traditional 5th blitz match between “Blondes” and “Brunettes” took place on 3rd March at the telecenter “Ostankino” in Moscow.

The playing format was Scheveningen with eight players in each team.

It was a close call before the last round, but eventually the Blondes won with the score 34:30 to extend the overall lead to 3,5:1,5 in all matches held from 2011.

The Chile Chess Federation held its final 2014-2015 championship stage from 21-28th February at the Universidad San Sebastián, Sede Bellavista, in Santiago.

The tournament format was 9-round Swiss with 24 participants.

IM Cristóbal Henríquez and FM Pablo Salinas shared the first place with 7,0/9 points each. In the dramatic rapid tie-break Henríquez won by 1,5-0,5 to be crowned new national champion.

European Chess Union announces the official launch of the sponsorship program by Bank of Georgia, a private Bank, belonging to the UK Company Bank of Georgia Holdings plc.

Bank of Georgia will financially support the European Chess Union in a 4 years-program as announced in the ECU General Assembly in Batumi.

The first installments for the 2015 ECU budget have already reached the ECU Bank account in Switzerland.
