FIDE has published the final list of participants for the 2015 Women’s World Chess Championship which will be held in Sochi, Russia from 16th March to 7th April.

The drawing of lots to determine the colours in the 1st game of the 1st round will take place during the opening ceremony.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Melbourne – Results

From 28 February to 1 March 2015 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Melbourne, Australia, by the Chess Victoria in cooperation with the Australia Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Melbourne Chess Club in Melbourne.

The lecturer was IA N.Y. Wong (SIN), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Peter Tsai (AUS), Vice-President of Chess Victoria.

The lectures were in English language.

India-China Match, Round 5 Video

India and China are playing a 4-board Scheveningen Match on 1-10th March in Hyderabad.

In round 5 China won again 2,5-1,5 to take the lead 10,5-9,5.

The Susan Polgar Foundation’s National Open for Girls and Boys hit new heights in 2015. Appearing on the West Coast for the first time, the SPFNO attracted approximately 400 players which included nearly all of the top scholastic chess players from California as well as very strong competition from every corner of the United States and beyond.

FIDE Seminar for International Organizers on Curacao – Results

Eight participants from Curacao attended the Seminar organised by the Curacao Chess Federation with financial support from the Confederation of Chess for the Americas and under the aegis of the Events Commission of FIDE.

The Seminar was held from 27th February to 1st March. Facilities were provided by the Curacao Sport & Olympic Federation.
