The European Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship 2015 will start in two days in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

The Australian Chess Championship 2016 will be held in the Fitzroy Town Hall, Melbourne, from the 2nd of January to the 12th of January.

The event is a 11 round swiss tournament with a $14000 prize fund. The tournament presence will be 34 players – 2 GMs and 14 IMs will be part of the chess spectacle. 

The Russian Rapid Final 2015 is taking place from December 12-16, in Khanty Mansiysk, Russia.

The event is a 16-player single round-robin tournament with prize fund in the amount of 1,200,000 RUB.

Top seed is GM Sergey Rublevsky (2729).
