The 42nd National Premier Women’s Chess Championship of India is taking place from 13-24th November at the Bengal gallery of ICCR in Kolkata.

Stockholms Schacksällskap, one of the world’s oldest chess clubs, celebrates its 150 years jubilee with a grand tournament at the venerable Scandic Hotel Hasselbacken**** in the heart of The Royal Djurgården in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Max Euwe Center organizes matches between Dutch young talents and Dutch top players from November 12-15, 2015, at the Joke Smit College in Amsterdam.

The event is a 4-round Scheveningen match in honor of Max Euwe who was crowned World champion 80 years ago.

Young talents: Robby Kevlishvili (14 y.o., 2361), Hing-Ting-Lai (18 y.o., 2334), Lucas van Foreest (14 y.o., 2296) and Casper Schoppen (13 y.o., 2220).

The 2015 European Team Chess Championship starts today with 36 teams in Open Section and 30 teams in Women Section.

The first seeds are Russia (Open) and Georgia (Women). Total number of players in Open section is 178, among whom 176 are title holders – 133 GMs, 32 IMs and 11 FMs! In Women Section 146 International title holders are on the field, among whom 13 GMs, 37 WGMs, 27 IMs and 27 WIMs.

The event is a 6 player round-robin tournament with tempo of play 90′ + 30″.

GM Kevin Barry Spraggett (2529) from Canada, IM Jorge Joao Viterbo Ferreira (2488) from Portugal, GM Daniel Campora (2462) from Argentine and Portuguese players CM Ivo Rodrigues Dias (2205), Miguel A Neto Pires Silva (2178) and Rui Pinto Guimaraes (2134) are competing for the first place.
