Chess Kidz Next Generation team lifted the coveted 34th Astro Merdeka Rapid Cup in the 104 Teams Championship.

Central Serbia First Division Team Chess Champion is taking place on 13-21st September 2014 at Tourist Hotel**** in the Serbian city of Kraljevo.

Twelve teams are playing in round-robin format with a time control 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game plus 30 seconds increment starting from move 1.

The Hungarian Chess Federation (HCF) will organize the World Youth U-16 Chess Olympiad for teams in Győr (Hungary) from 12th December (arrival) to 22nd December (departure). The U-16 Youth Olympiad will be conducted under the auspices of FIDE.

The tournament venue is located in the University of Győr (Nyugat- Magyarorszagi Egyetem), Liszt Ferenc út 42.

Players who shall not have reached the age of 16, by January 1st 2014, (Date of Birth 1998 and after) are entitled to participate.

The 2nd Azuqueca Chess Classic 2014 will take place on 13-21st September at the Centro de Ocio Rio Henares in Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara), Spain.

The 9-round Swiss event is organized by the Equigoma Casa Social. Tournament director is Alejandro de la Orden Alcocer and chief arbiter is IA Luis Blasco de la Cruz.

The top prizes are EUR 1000 / 600 / 400 / 200.

The 13th Open de Ajedrez Ciudad de Reinosa 2014 is set to take place on 13th September at the Instituto Montesclaros in Reinosa, Cantabria, Spain.

The 9-round Swiss event with the time control 15′+5” is organized by the Club Ajedrez Campoo.

The 7th Masters Final is taking place on 14-21st September 2014 in Bilbao, a city in Spain, capital of the province of Biscay in the autonomous community of the Basque Country.

The 30th European Club Cup and the 7th Masters Final will be held simultaneously in Bilbao, turning the city into the world capital of chess thanks to the number of participants as well as their very high level.

The 11th Malaysian Chess Festival 2014 began with the 34th ASTRO Merdeka Rapid Team Championship in which over 500 players including Grandmasters from various countries participated.
