Chess Association of “West Azarbaijan” province and I.R. Iran Chess Federation organize the 4th Sardaran International Open Chess Tournaments from 22-29 July 2015, at Morvarid Hotel, in Urmia, Iran.

The event is a 9-round Swiss tournament, open for local and foreign players who have FIDE ID.

74 players from 8 different countries are vying for the prize fund in total of USD$ 25,000!

The 7th round of the  FIDE Amateur World Online Blitz Championship 2015 (rating <2000) was held on July 17th at 7:00 AM UTC.

OPorto Open 2015 took place from 13-19th July at the Hotel Beta in Porto, Portugal. The tournament is included in the National Circuit of Classic Chess of the Portuguese Chess Federation.

The 11-round rapid chess tournament with time control 15′+10” was a stage in the circuit Rapid Cup of Russia.

The Russian Chess Federation received a letter from Alisa Galliamova, informing that she will be unable to play in the Russian Championship Superfinal 2015 in Chita.

According to the regulations, the organizing committee is in charge of selecting a replacement. RCF contacted Nadezhda Kosintseva (#4 in the Russian rating list) and Tatiana Kosintseva (#8), but both players declined to participate.
