The 10th Edmonton International Chess Festival is scheduled to take place between June 19 and June 28, 2015, at the Edmonton Chess Club, in Alberta, Canada.

The traditional ČEZ Chess Trophy 2015 Festival took part from June 12 through June 16, 2015, at the marvelous Michna Palace on Kampa Island, in Prague, the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic.

The long anticipated FIDE World Online Women Blitz Championship 2015 is starting today on the official FIDE Online platform.

The first stage of the Championship will be completed over eight (8) qualifier tournaments, followed by a semifinal with 64 players, and a final tournament with 10 players.

A rich prize fund of 9000 USD will be awarded in the final tournament.

A FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organized from 23 to 27 July 2015 in Larnaca, Cyprus, by the Cyprus Chess Federation Arbiters’ Commission, in cooperation with the Cyprus Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Norway Chess 2015 super tournament started with a bang.

Vietnam are the overall champions of the 16th ASEAN+ Age-Group Championships 2015, a position they have held since the event started in Vietnam in 2000.

The country with the largest delegation won the most medals and the statistics are staggering. Vietnam’s 68 Golds are more than the second to eighth ranked countries combined and their total haul of 141 medals more than the rest combined!

From 2 to 6 June 2015 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held in Singapore, organized by the Singapore Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the Seminar was IA Takis Nikolopoulos (GRE), Chairman of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Ignatius Leong (SIN), FIDE Lecturer.

The language of the Seminar was English.

The Board meeting of the European Chess Union was held this weekend, 12-13 June, in the capital of Romania – the city of Bucharest.

The ECU Board meeting concluded with important decisions, which will be communicated by the next ECU Circular Letter.
