The total number of participating federations is 13 with representation from all the four African FIDE Zones.

The event was a 9-round Swiss FIDE tournament, which gathered a total of 177 players from Bosna and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia.

76th Armenian Championship 2016 LIVE!

The 76th Armenian Championship is taking place from January 12 to January 23 2016 in the capital city of Yerevan.

It features 12 of the greatest Armenian chess minds battling it out Round Robin style in 11 rounds with time control of 90′/40+30′+30″ per move. 9 of the competitors are GMs and 2 are IMs.

Five of the players are 2600 ELO and above. The top seed is GM Tigran Petrosian (2625).
