GM Lazaro Bruzon wins 6th Ibero-American Championship

The Cuban Lazaro Bruzon has proclaimed this afternoon in Bilbao, the new Ibero-American chess champion after ending in a tie with the young talent Alan Pichot in a direct duel, in this last day. The Cuban has not suffered too much in this game because the Argentinian soon accepted the fact of ending in a tie.

Interview with WCM Diana Assaubayeva

WCM Diana Assaubayeva from Kazakhstan, currently competing in the World Youth & Cadets Championship Girls U18 section, shared:
- “I have been playing in many youth events. I have participated in previous World Youth Championships, I have also played in the Asian youth events. I have to say in Porto Carras everything is very well organized, but I already knew that before coming here, as I played in the 2013 World Schools Championships here, where I took 8th place, and I know that the event is a top level”.
