Chess Bundesliga 2024 – 2025 aka Schachbundesliga is the top club national championship of Europe. 16 teams compete in weekend events with classical time control to determine the club champion of Germany.

The season is divided into seven double rounds, which will be held on Saturdays from 2 pm and on Sundays from 10 am.

The Vugar Gashimov Memorial 2024 is a 8-player round-robin tournament, held from the 26th to the 27th of September in Shusha, Azerbaijan. The Jerusalem Chess Open will take place parallel to Jerusalem Masters 2024 and the record 1000 games simul. It is a 309 players tournament with 61 titled players, of which 12 GMs and 19 IMs.

Jergus Pechac is the winner of Slovakia Chess Open. Pechac won the exe Slovakia Chess Open in Bratislava with 7,5/9. With the same points is Israel’s junior Yuval Yaniv, but better tiebreak gave the title to Jergus Pechac.

A total of 160 players competed in the event. Top woman of the event is WFM Svenja Butenandt with 5,5/9.

The German Women Rapid Chess Championship 2024 – Deutsche Schnellschachmeisterschaft der Frauen – is going to take place 12-13 October, as part of the German Rapid Chess Festival. It will be hosted by Brackwed chess club and the games will take place at Ravensberger Spinnerei, Ravensberger Park 1, 33607 Bielefeld. The time control is 15 min + 10 sec and a total of nine rounds will be played.
