Kazakhstan take the silver medals, while the bronze is for USA on tiebreak ahead of Spain, Armenia, and Georgia.

India are 2024 Chess Olympiad champions! Dominant performance of Gukesh D and Arjun Erigaisi and solid play by the teammates secured the title for India.

The gold medal of Gukesh is a special boost for his confidence ahead of the World Chess Championship match. His performance of ~3070 is the second best in history.

With India basically having the title guaranteed in the open section most of the attention in the final day of the Chess Olympiad is directed towards the women section.
