FIDE World Team Chess Championship 2022 finished today in Jerusalem, Israel. China won the Championship after beating Uzbekistan in the finals with convincing 2-0 result in matches and no need for tiebreaks

The Asian Junior Chess Championship 2022 took place from 17-25 November in Tagaytay City, Philippines. The event was played in two categories: Open and Women’s, 9 rounds, swiss system, with the time control of 90 minutes with an increment of 30 seconds per move from move 1.

The FIDE World Team Championship 2022 takes place from 19 to 26 November in Jerusalem, Israel. It is a twelve-team championship with China, France, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain and Ukraine competing in Pool A, and Azerbaijan, India, Israel, Poland, USA and Uzbekistan competing in Pool B. 

The 2022 Turkish Championship is taking place from 25 November to 3 December in Kemer, Antalya, Turkey. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one.  It is a 10-player round-robin tournament with Mustafa Yilmaz, Mert Yilmazyerli, Alparslan Isik, Eray Kilic, Huseyin Can Agdelen, Ege Koksal, Siar Yaran, Okan Ozsakallioglu, Efe Metehan Yavuz and Julia Gokbulut.

The fourth edition of the Tata Steel Chess India Rapid & Blitz, India’s biggest chess tournament, will be held from November 29 till December 4, 2022. The Tata Steel Chess India 2022 will this year have the women’s tournament with the same format – rapid and blitz.
