FIDE World Cadet U8, U10 and U12 Chess Championships start in Batumi, Georgia

The FIDE World Cadets Chess Championships 2022, organized by FIDE, the Georgian Chess Federation and the Georgian Chess Club “64”, start today in Batumi, Georgia. The event will be played from 16-28 September, in three age groups – Under 8, 10, 12 and 2 sections – open and girls.

In the post-games interview, Mamedyarov said that he enjoys Fischer Random: “Normally in classical chess, I just try to play interesting chess and I try to get an interesting position from the opening, but now is from first moves interesting position. It’s much better to play this chess (Fischer Random)!“.
