The 3rd edition of the El Llobregat Open Chess Tournament 2022 is taking place from November 30 to December 8 in Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain and gathers 175 players fighting for the prize fund of 29.500eur!

The second game of the Women’s Candidates Semifinals between Tan Zongyi and Aleksandra Goryachkina finished in a draw and the result is now tied 1-1, with only two games to go.

The second game of the 2022 FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament, Pool B, played this afternoon in the magnificent Farovon Hotel venue in Khiva, Uzbekistan, ended in a draw after forty moves. After a very equal encounter, GM Aleksandra Goryachkina and GM Tan Zhongyi are now tied 1-1 in the match: two classical games are left to decide the winner before resorting to the tiebreak.

The 61st Brazilian Women’s Chess Championship will take place from 15-23 December 2022 in Boa Viagem, Recife, simultaneously with the 88th edition of the Brazilian Chess Championship. The event will be played in 11 rounds, swiss system, with time control of 90 minutes with 30 seconds increment from move 1.

The 88th edition of the Brazilian Chess Championship will be held from 15-23 December 2022 in Boa Viagem, Recife, concurrently with the Brazilian Women’s Chess Championship 2022. The event will be played in 11 rounds, swiss system, with time control of 90 minutes for the whole game plus 30 seconds of increment per each move, starting from the move one.

The Festival features two tournaments: Open A and Open B, with the total prize fund of 27.155eur. The Open A will be played in 10 rounds, swiss system, with time control of 90 minutes for the first 40 moves + 30 minutes for the rest, with increment of 30 seconds from the first move.

The Festival features two tournaments: Open A and Open B, with the total prize fund of 27.155eur. The main Open A tournament will be played in 10 rounds, swiss system, with time control of 90 minutes for the first 40 moves + 30 minutes for the rest, with increment of 30 seconds from the first move.

Pool B of the FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament reaches the Final stage with Aleksandra Goryachkina and Tan Zhongyi fighting in the four-game match for the spot in the Women’s Candidates Finals against Lei Tingjie (who qualified from Pool A a month ago). The first game of the match finished in a draw and Tan Zhongyi today takes white pieces.
