The first leg of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix 2022/2023 series will take place from 17-30 September 2022 in Nursultan, Kazakhstan. The event will be played as a twelve-player round-robin tournament with time control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.

The 2022 Maia International Chess Open took place from August 26 to September 1 in Maia. The tournament was played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with time control: 90 minutes for the whole game + 30 seconds of increment per each move, starting from the move one, featuring the total prize fund of 4.000 euros.
