The tournament is played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with time control: 90 minutes for the whole game + 30 seconds of increment per each move, starting from the move one. The total prize fund of the event is 4.000 euros, with 1.200 euros reserved for the Winner of the tournament.

The 2022 International Chess Open San Cristobal de La Laguna takes place from 27 August to 3 September 2022 in San Cristobal de La Laguna, a city in the northern part of the island of Tenerife on the Canary Islands, Spain. The event is played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with time control: 90 minutes for the whole game plus 30 seconds of an increment per each move, starting from the move one.

The 2022 Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz kicked off yesterday with the three rapid rounds. Defending the 2021 STL Rapid & Blitz Champion title, Hikaru Nakamura is considered one of the favorites to win the tournament. However, after losing to Leinier Dominguez and Alireza Firouzja during the Day 1, Nakamura ties for the 7th place after three played rounds.
