FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 is coming to its end. Two rounds to go and a two-point lead for Ian Nepomniachtchi – the winner is almost known. However, the stakes for second place could be high, as Magnus Carlsen still didn’t decide whether he’ll play the World Chess Championship Match. After yesterday’s free day, the event continues today with R13 starting from 15:00 CEST.

This summer the International Chess Forum Moscow Open 2022 will take place from the 14th to the 20th of July in the Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Center. The program will include open tournaments for men and women, stages of the Cup of Russia, as well as stages of the Children’s Cup of Russia.

The 127th Scottish Chess Championship takes place from 2-10 July 2022 at Edinburgh Chess Club in Edinburgh. The event is played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with participation of 16 players who fight for the title of the National Champion.
