The 2022-2023 series of Women’s Grand Prix tournaments features four events which will be held between August 2022 and June 2023.

The European Women Chess Championship is in full swing. With round 1 bringing a multitude of surprises, the event shapes to be one of the most exciting EIWCC events of the last years.

European Women Chess Championship 2022 takes place on August 19th – September 1st, 2022 in the Don Giovanni hotel Prague (Czech Republic). 125 players from 27 European federations registered for the event. The event will be played in 11 rounds, Swiss system, with time control 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from /move one.

He has been consistently around the top 20 of the junior rating list and is adding more ELO points with every tournament. This weekend Daniel Dardha won convincingly the Belgian Chess Championship 2022 with a score of 8,5/9, adding 9,1 ELO points. Now Dardha is rated 2604,3 and is officially member of the 2600 ELO club.

The 2nd FIDE World Fischer Random Chess Championship over-the-board final will take place in Reykjavik, Iceland, from 25-30 October 2022. 

The 2022 Spanish Championship, a 9-round Swiss tournament with classical time control, took place from 11-18 August in the halls of the hotel “RL Aníbal” in Linares. Both men and women competed in one event but were ranked separately, with the highest-scoring female player claiming the title of Spanish Women’s Champion.
