FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Varadero, Cuba

Official FIDE logoThe Cuban Chess Federation is going to organize a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Varadero, Matanzas, Cuba, from 29 May to 4 June 2017, under the auspices of FIDE.

The Seminar will be in Hotel Barceló Arenas Blancas, in Varadero.

US Chess Championship 2017 LIVE!

For the ninth consecutive year, the nation’s top 24 chess players will gather in Saint Louis to compete for the titles of U.S. Champion and U.S. Women’s Champion, which will be held simultaneously at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis (CCSCSL) from March 28 through April 10.

US Women Chess 2017 LIVE!

The 2017 U.S. Women’s Championship field will feature U.S. Women’s reigning champion IM Nazi Paikidze and seven-time U.S. Women’s Champion GM Irina Krush, who will seek to win back the title. The Women’s Championship will once again see young talents like 15-year-old WIM Jennifer Yu and 13-year-old Carissa Yip.

Webster University with 5th college title in a row

The College Chess Final Four event was held on 25-26th March at the Marshall Chess Club in New York.

Webster University scored 8 points (two match wins, one tie) to claim its fifth consecutive President’s Cup.

Texas Tech is second with 6,5 points, St. Louis University third with 5 points and UT Dallas is third with 4,5 points.

FIDE World Cadets Chess Championship 2017
